Animal Cuts Side Effects

Universal Nutrition’s Animal Cuts is a thermogenic supplement which means it helps burn unwanted fat through thyroid stimulants, diuretics and themorgenesis. It is primarily targeted towards serious bodybuilders and weight lifters. Animal Cuts has several key components such as Lipotropic Complex, Thermogenic Complex, Metabolic Complex, Thyroid Complex, Diuretic Complex, Insulin Potentiators, Nucleotide Regulators and an exclusive Animal Cuts complex. The thyroid complex of Animal Cuts includes soy isoflavones and guggulsterones which are known for their thyroid-stimulating effect.

For its diuretic component, Animal Cuts uses dandelion and uva ursi extract, which are known to increase the elimination of excess water via urine. The thermogenic complex is composed of several substances such as synephrine, octopamine, EGCG, tyramine, phenylethylamine and I-theanine. The EGCG and I-theanine are derived from green tea. EGCG or Epigallocatechin gallate is a potent antioxidant, and anti-cancer agent that are known to lower boyd fat and cholesterol levels.

Just like any other thermogenics supplement in the market, Animal Cuts has some negative side effects. As the name suggests, thermogenics work by raising your body temperature and increasing the number of calories burned during a workout. The supplement achieves this by boosting the body’s basal metabolic rate.  If Animal Cuts is taken prior to a rigorous workout, these side effects may occur after two to three hours. Some of the most common side effects include gastrointestinal side effects such as diarrhea, bloating, heartburn and vomiting. These can be eliminated by building a tolerance to the substance by slowly increasing the amounts taken. Thermogenics such as Animal Cuts can also cause headaches.

Because of the rise in body temperature, users of Animal Cuts can experience flushed cheeks and facial sweating. Since Animal Cuts increase the amount of water eliminated through urine and also cuts the subcutaneous discharge of water, it can lead to the body’s loss of one of its important cooling defences that helps prevent overheating. To avoid this, Animal Cuts users should stay thoroughly hydrated prior to and after consumption of the supplement. Overheating can lead to potentially dangerous situations. Animal Cuts is also known to induce some minor cardiovascular side effects such as heart palpitations, fluttering and irregular heart beat. Even though Animal Cuts is billed as ephedrine-free, it can still cause rapid heartbeat and high blood pressure. In extreme and very rare cases, it can cause heart attack.

Like any supplement or drug, irresponsible use of Animal Cuts can lead to abusive behaviour. Although short term use of Animal Cuts can produce excellent results in weight loss, prolonged use can lead to adapted tolerance with little or no fat loss benefit at all.

Responsible use of Animal Cuts or any thermogenic fat loss supplement is key to avoiding the hassles of negative side effects. Also, it is always a good idea to consult your physician or nutritionist before using any type of weight loss supplement.
